For those of you who have visited us, you know we live right on 1st Avenue. The marathon course comes right up first so it is always a huge to do. The first year we were here we were in California and last year it was cancelled because of hurricane Sandy. Our neighbors who actually live facing First Avenue have a viewing party every year and they have a terrace overlooking the street. It was SO COOL! We walked over right before the mens runners came up and then stayed for awhile to eat and catch up.
A runner pushing a wheelchair runner. I got very emotional at that point. So inspiring!
The crowds started to pick up as the morning wore on. We were right after the 17 mile marker.
Catching the winner on TV!
Look at the runners! Over 50, 000 this year!
All the other kids played on their iPads the ENTIRE time. Nothing phases these kids!
