Summertime in South Carolina

I don't think we have really made it back home in the summer much over the past five years. And let me just say this, I HAVE MISSED IT!!  I forgot how much I love the disgusting heat and humidity, the  stickiness and sweat pouring down as you walk outside and most of all, the LAKE. The boys and I flew down first (another early 6am flight), played during our 3 hour layover and finally landed at 1pm.
Big Momma muffins on the plane
Playing on the moving walkways…over and over and over and over
 Blues Brothers in Chicago

This is how we spent at least an hour. I am pretty sure they ran more in the airport than the do in our halls (if this video works…man…I have been trying forever with my camcorder…)

                                   Finally in Greenville!!
After a quick visit with Tracy and the kids we spent the first night with my dad and got to enjoy a day on the lake-

Fill it up and pour it out-on Grandpa!

He is a stay puft marshmallow!!

Two tired monkeys
The boys had such a great time on the water and in the lake. It is amazing to watch them play and a part of me feels sad that they don't get to experience this more often.

Then the boys wanted to watch Uncle Mike on the Total Gym when we got to my moms.

Heading back to Tracy's, this was one of the only ways to quiet the kids down for a few-a tv show
We rode in style in my dad's truck-SC style.
After playing at Tracy's after the Baby shower we headed back to my dad's for another lake day.

Andrew got on the jet-ski with Daddy! He loved it, as long as it wasn't going TOO fast.

Ella and Evan also rode it and Ella was a little daredevil! Faster, faster...

The only way to do it-sitting on a lifevest, drinking a beer. Too bad I don't like beer.

                                              Briana playing with Evan.

We had a great trip (i'll do a separate post about RD's shower) and besides our delayed travel plans home had a good traveling experience. Our flight was delayed and we couldn't make our connection so we got to spend an extra night in a hotel in Greenville. Luckily we had only been in the airport about 2 hours. When we finally got to the hotel though, someone wouldn't go to sleep. This picture was taken at 10pm. Looks just a bit tired right? He then woke for the day at 415am.
But then this happened on the plane around 9am
Oh my, will my children EVER sleep?!?
