The McCalla's visit!

We had a full apartment with Brian, Tracy, Briana, Evan and Ella here for 5 days. We tried to get out a lot and really got around to see all different parts of the city. I think everyone had a great time!

The first afternoon we headed up to one of our favorite multi-adult playground-the Ancient Playground.  With all of us there the kids really got to run around and play.

Ryan (luckily) was being his stubborn self and wouldn't change into swim clothes at the playground, so had to wear them home. Turned out to be a good thing when all 4 kids decided to pet a dog (that the owner okayed) and it latched onto Ryan's sleeve! Scared the bejesus out of Ryan and the poor owner! I didn't think anything about it until we were in Baltimore a week later and he was PETRIFIED of a friends dog for a few days!!
We ventured to Times Square and M&M world.

Little did we know you controlled the lever. Evan had about $30 worth of M&M's just in his bag alone:)

We debated the Top of the Rock or the Empire State Building, but opted for the Top of the Rock. Beautiful, clear skies and a great view again!

Briana is such a great helper and the kids adore her!
Father's Day morning we headed out early for Liberty and Ellis Island. It was really  overcast and of course burnt off as we were leaving. It is still a must see and beautiful sight though.

 SOOOO Foggy!!
Evan did not want to be part of ANY family pictures-in case you can't tell

On Monday we headed over to Brooklyn to eat at the Famous Grimaldi's Pizza and try out the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. They were both delicious and did not disappoint. Andrew did tell me when we were on vacation a few weeks later that his pizza at this little Italian was the 'best pizza EVER'. I asked if it was better than Grimaldi's and he said yes…hmmm...
                                      Briana and the Brooklyn Bridge

Right in Brooklyn is the area of DUMBO (Down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is Jane's Carousel.  Ryan didn't really like it, but that is nothing new. The other kids enjoyed it.

This is me trying to be artistic. I really like this shot!!

Cheap right?!? A small milkshake for a mere $7!!
                    YUMMM!!

We ended the trip with just a casual walk through Central Park and venturing around. Hopefully they'll get to visit again before we leave!! Love and Miss you all!!
