Captiva Island, FL

After the wedding we headed west across the Everglades to Captiva Island. A few friends told us about the South Seas Resort so we thought we would check it out since it was only a few hours drive.

The resort faces west so you get amazing sunsets every night. The first night Chris and Julian fell asleep and the boys wouldn't come out with me, so I watched solo.

There were two tube slides at one of the pool areas that the kids LOVED.

The resort has a cute discovery finder so you could walk the entire island. We did half of it one night, and then decided to finish when it was about 450 degrees outside.

We had a rough storm one night but the sunset managed to peek out as we walked out and watched the dolphins. Andrew stayed out with me to do a little late-night swimming.

We had a great time, even though it was very steamy! Back to Baltimore!!
