Today was one of those days where I love being able to stay at home with the boys. Nothing special, just simple. I worked out early, came home and got breakfast ready, Chris ironed and lunch made, showered, and then nothing. We didn't have to be out of the house again until 1130 to take Andrew to school so we got to lay around and play all morning. Ryan opened a birthday gift because he saw and you can't really stop him and we played with that, read books, and played cars. Took Andrew to school, went to the store, Ryan napped, I cleaned, we picked Andrew up and headed to the store, the bank and the park. We came home and played some more, made cupcakes, took baths, made dinner, played under the towels, had dinner with Daddy and then they both went down without a peep. Now, don't get me wrong, there were plenty of arguments and refereeing, tears over hats/gloves/ winter wear, some tears at school because MOM forgot to get out show and tell that Andrew picked, tears on the way home from the park because "poop, poop (from Ryan..not me). But it was just what the doctor ordered. Simple, blissful, one of those happy days that makes being a mom so special.
